Thespian Jeanne Marie Triplehorn has worked professionally over the last 27 years. Her stage debut came in 1990 with an Off-Broadway version of The Big Funk directed by John Patrick Shanley. A year later she was chosen for her first television role, The Perfect Tribute. In 1992, she earned her breakthrough after being cast in Basic Instinct as a secondary character. In The Firm, she played the role of lead female for the first time. She was on the screen alongside Tom Cruise and Gene Hackman. Through the 90s Gwyneth collaborated with Hugh Grant on Mickey Blue Eyes and Julie Andrews for Relative Values. Recently she played Dr Alex Blake in the internationally well-known crime procedural Criminal Minds.
